Saints Row 2 remains one of the most beloved open-world action titles for offering total freedom and chaotic fun in the city of Stilwater. Utilizing cheat codes in this game allows players to immediately manipulate weather, spawn powerful weapons, unlock rare vehicles, and grant invincibility. Understanding how to enter these codes properly guarantees an enhanced gameplay experience without risking your main save file.
How to Activate Cheats in Saints Row 2
Activating codes in Saints Row 2 is simple because the game incorporates a retro cell phone interface. Players simply pull up the in-game cell phone, dial the desired number starting with the pound key, and save it to their cheat menu. Once saved, you can toggle the cheat on or off at any time during single-player sessions.
It is crucial to remember that turning on cheats will automatically disable achievements and trophies for that session. To avoid permanently locking your progress, create a separate save file before testing out heavy modifications.
Player Ability and World Modification Cheats
Player ability codes grant powers like infinite health, endless sprint, and unlimited ammunition. Dialing #1 instantly restores full health, while dialing #36 grants invincibility against incoming damage. Other fun options include #200 for increasing character size or #12 to send defeated NPCs skyward.
World cheats alter the overall environment and NPC behavior around Stilwater. Entering #7 increases explosion radiuses by four times, while #18 drastically lowers world gravity. You can also alter atmospheric conditions using codes such as #666 for thunderstorms or #1200 to set the time to noon.
Spawning Weapons and Vehicles Instantly
Arsenal codes allow players to equip high-tier guns without spending money at weapon shops. Entering #939 spawns the powerful Mini-gun, while #946 grants a standard RPG for explosive combat. Unique items like the Pimp Cane can also be obtained using #944.
Vehicle cheats let you summon air, land, and sea rides directly in front of your character. Dialing #713 spawns the armed Tornado attack helicopter, whereas #1043 summons the fast Attrazione sports car. Specialized vehicles like the Gyro Daddy mini-copter can be summoned with #4976.
Tips for Safe Cheat Usage and Unlocks
While cheats offer instant gratification, many unique items and perks can also be earned legitimately through side activities. Completing specific Hitman lists grants infinite rifle ammunition, while finishing Fuzz activity levels rewards infinite pistol ammo. These earnable rewards do not disable your achievements, making them ideal for complete completionist playthroughs.
When experimenting with phone codes, always verify that your current vehicle or location has enough open space for large vehicle spawns. Summoning heavy aircraft inside tight spaces can trigger unintended destruction or instant vehicle failure. Balance your cheat usage to ensure maximum enjoyment while exploring everything Stilwater has to offer.
